____________________________(name) (address),__________________________________ will participate in the State 4-H Fashion Revue to be held August 6, 2008 at the Eisenhower Auditorium on the University Park campus of Penn State University, as part of Penn State 4-H Achievement Week. The theme of this year's program is _______________________________.
As one of the finalists from the Regional 4-H Fashion Revue held ___________(date) in ____________________(place) (name), ________________________ will compete with 60 other 4-H'ers for a place in the state honors group. At the state revue, a panel of professional judges selects 12 finalists. The entrants are judged on garment construction, fit, degree of construction difficulty, appropriateness of garment for the 4-H'er, and modeling ability.
By participating in the series of county, regional, and state revues, 4-H textiles science project members have a chance to turn self-consciousness into self-confidence. They learn about wardrobe selection, the importance of good posture, physical fitness and other aspects of grooming. Penn State's Cooperative Extension coordinates the 4-H program in Pennsylvania.
