In this department the interaction between all personnel is amazingly welcoming. When I need a question answered, I feel very comfortable talking with faculty and staff. In most situations, people are available or provide you with the opportunity to schedule an appointment to discuss any concerns i.e. academic, professional development, etc. you may have. I can ask to meet with my advisor at anytime and if he, Dr. Baggett, is in his office, he is always willing to help. Our relationship not only makes me a better student, but a better person. I believe, these interactions prepare students (undergrad and grad) for "real world" situations. The better the relationship with your advisor the easier it will be for you to achieve your program and personal goals.
